CSIR UGC NET Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

  • The candidates who have qualified four-years BS course OR possess a BE/B.Tech/B.Pharma/Integrated BS-MS/MBBS/B.Sc (Hons.)/M.Sc OR equivalent/B.Sc (Hons.) OR equivalent or candidates enrolled in the Integrated Ms-PhD course scoring minimum 55% for General and OBC-NCl candidates (50% for SC/ST/PWD/visually handicapped) are eligible to apply for the examination.
  • The candidates who have enrolled for M.Sc OR have just qualified graduation in any of the above examinations will also be eligible to apply for the examination under result awaited category. These candidates must have completed the qualifying degrees with requisite % in order to avail the fellowship.
  • The candidates having Bachelor’s degree in any discipline are also eligible to apply for CSIR fellowship only after they got enrolled for PhD/Integrated PhD course.
  • There is an upper age limit of 28 years is prescribed to apply for JRF which will be relaxed up-to 5 years for candidates belonging to SXC/ST/OBC/PWD/Visually Handicapped and female candidates.
